Final Blog

My most successful learning experience in this class has been the ability to learn the Adobe software. Every time it came to designing I had a great time figuring out how to play with the different features such as the scaling, gradient, and even the font. The Final Design project was based on creating three different mailing letters based off a specific artist. It was intended for us to create different designs that reflected the artists style. I was inspired by our past presentation examples and the artist's identity and art. I feel I was definitely successful as I took the time to really watch the artist's interview and analyze their different exhibits. I tried my best to stick to neutrals because he centered his art on black and white racism. In my designs I struggled trying to make everything flow smoothly and correctly proportion the body text with the titles. I wanted to make sure I emphasized the importance of the artist's name while also leaving the date a decent s...

Monogram #4

 1.  What have you learned about the importance of everything to date and how you employed all your knowledge to design a monogram?  Designing a monogram was surprisingly fun and made me use different tools I have learned over the last two weeks. The color theory was especially helpful as I emphasized the contrast between blue and pink for some of my designs. It became interesting when I was playing with the different size and rotation of the letters as well.  2. What were your challenges and how were you able to overcome them? Was it through perseverance (not giving up) or was it also your knowledge of the foundations and/or the computer and software? Some of the challenges I faced were not giving up and reaching creative block. Given that there were six different designs I was really trying to make sure I was making my designs look different yet fun.  3. Add an image of your designed Monogram to this post along with any other screenshot to add value or interes...

  1. What have you learned about the importance of typography to the profession of graphic design? The importance of typography to the profession of graphic design is large as the contrast of shapes and colors can make the certain image stand out. Designers are able to tweak such art and make it visually appealing to really bring in customers to a specific brand or service.  2. What is one of your favorite fonts? Describe your font and why it is your favorite.  One of my favorite fonts is "Abril Fatface" as it is one of the first fonts I learned how to work with under the Adobe software.  3. Add an image that pertains to the Typography such as a screenshot of your favorite font or a screenshot of Font Manager from Creative Cloud. This is an example of the "Abril Fatface" font.

Hello my name is Darling, but to my close friends and family I go by Lali, I would like to welcome you to my blog.  As an artist I am focused on the clean and polished look, but to some this could come off as perfectionism. Making new friends and helping others feel comfortable is something I enjoy, therefore I will be focusing in a career in Public Relations. My thoughts on blogging are pleasant because it is a personal message from the writer to reader. The business world could greatly benefit from blogging because it could create the emotional bridge between a product and its next customer. I have never had a blog an...
